Café Bateel

Time Out Says

Boasting a stunning waterfront location at scenic Marina Walk, Café Bateel offers tasty food complemented by smiley, speedy service. Different palates are catered to with a diverse menu offering soups, salads, wholesome main courses and eye-catching desserts. We recommend sitting outside for a cosier experience, as the indoor decor feels a tad cold. Tasty home-made breads are on offer to commence the meal – we especially like the sun-dried tomato and fruit offerings – and the waiters happily oblige when asked for more. While the presentation could be better, there are many tasty dishes, such as the Norwegian salmon served with grilled artichokes, potatoes, horseradish and fava beans, topped with lemon dressing and parmesan. The mushroom risotto, marrying onion, garlic, parsley and labneh, is also flavoursome. For dessert, try the Bateel sundae – home-made ice cream fused with orange and pecan nuts.
