Time Out Says
Head to this restaurant on a Friday for the great value buffet. The restaurant doesn’t get too busy and the quiet outdoor terrace that overlooks the noisier brunch activity taking place downstairs is a nice place from where to experience proceedings. It’s also a peaceful vantage point from which to take in some stunning Creek views. The buffet itself is refreshingly high in quality – meats are well seasoned and nothing is over or under-cooked – and staff pace the venue ensuring that nothing is left uncovered for long, so dishes retain their freshness. The highlight, perhaps surprisingly, is the salad station. Fill up on the prawn, avocado, tomato and rocket – a mix that is first to finish. The beetroot moutabel also goes down a treat. Save room for desserts. The enticing display features Middle Eastern classics such as kunafa, pyramids of assorted baklava and a dainty selection of pancakes, sponges and Arabian-style cheesecake. It’s not gourmet, but at just Dhs150 per person it offers a pleasant and affordable way to start the weekend.
