Time Out Says
Everything about Carnival by Trèsind is created to enthral and surprise. From the eclectic, brightly coloured décor to the modern dishes and inventive mixed drinks, we love the attention to detail at this quirky Indian eatery.
As is the trend with contemporary Indian restaurants in this city, plenty of dishes arrive amid plumes of dry ice, as we'd expect from the little sister of Trèsind. Not that we object, we like a touch of theatre. And there’s no shortage of that at this DIFC restaurant.
Dishes are creative and fun an,d most importantly, incredibly tasty, combining traditional flavours with more unusual ingredients. Don’t miss the cream chicken, a delightfully indulgent dish. Finished off tableside in a giant Parmesan wheel, it’s unexpected for Indian cuisine, but a definite highlight.
There are also plenty of traditional curries and dishes that are not to be sniffed at either, such as a Keralan beef stew or that old favourite, butter chicken.
Service is quick, attentive and friendly, and there’s a cosy bar area serving up a range of equally creative mixed drinks if you’re after a beverage.
