Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
Hidden away above the bustle of the souk’s touristy walkways is Centimetro, a secluded open-air rooftop bar that the holidaymakers have yet to discover. The décor follows the general Madinat theme but the low lighting, modern furniture and extensive drinks selection makes this a worthy destination. Staff are friendly and chatty, striking up conversation and take a genuine interest in their guests. Food-wise, the choice is limited: Centimetro’s USP is that it offers bruschetta by the centimetre, of which you can select one of the menu options or create your own (choose your bread, add tomato and cheese, then pick from the extensive list of toppings). They’re cooked by a chef behind the bar and, while the result is essentially glorified cheese on toast, the snacks are tasty, fresh and a good way to take the edge off your hunger before a night on the town. Prices are also reasonable – you can pick up a filling snack for Dhs35 per person. Don’t head here if you’re ravenous but for quick bites in a gorgeous setting, you could do a lot worse.
