Time Out Says
Tucked away in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai Media City, the glass, stone and dark wood decor of this high-ceilinged restaurant gives Certo a business-like sense of masculinity. Bottles are displayed in a transparent store room, artfully arranged in a six-metre-high modern glass centrepiece. The Media City set keep the place buzzing, especially during lunchtimes, busily selecting from a menu featuring traditional pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven, as well as pasta and other Italian staples. A few standout items, such as onion fondue risotto with fois gras medallions, keep things interesting. With slick, unobtrusive service, orders arrive quickly from the kitchen, without fuss. Some of the dishes are lacking in the punch and refinement you’d expect at this price bracket, and we think more adventurous seasoning could lift the flavours and make things more memorable, but overall there’s little else to fault.
