Curry N Grill

North Indian food at reasonable prices (Used to be Sanjay Restaurant)

Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
If reputed dining establishments suddenly change their brand names and management, there’s a risk that regular clientele may turn away. But Sanjay Restaurant, which has been in the business for more than half a decade doesn’t seem to be hurt by this. Now called ‘Curry N Grill’ it’s packed during lunchtime with staff from nearby offices scampering for a quick grub – and with laid-back diners in the evenings, watching soaps or sports on the television set inside. The chicken kebabs are commendably juicy and the mutton curries are spiced and well flavoured.

Vegetarians may tuck into the hot makai roti corn bread (with topping of fresh butter) and sarson ka saag spinach curry – the perfect combination to warm you up on a wintry evening. The service is average, aggravated by the neglect towards the dine-in customers in favour of the hugely popular takeaway deliveries. But the place redeems itself by serving some delicious north Indian food for pleasantly cheap prices.
