This affordable pizza and pasta joint dishes out enormous portions of Italian food in a casual cafe-style setting. We’d recommend sharing a selection of starters and mains to get a taste of what’s on offer. The napoletana pizza is a heavy way to kick things off, but it has a crunchy crust, though the fried eggplant is on the bitter side and falls a bit flat. The cheesy mushroom and truffle risotto is just the right consistency and would be a highlight of any meal, while the rucola salad helps to break off the richness of the feast. Pastas include a linguine seafood option, mushroom ravioli with cream sauce and tagliatelle with traditional bolognese sauce. If you’re still hungry, there’s fresh bruschetta as well as a spicy potato dish, the morsels crispy with a soft centre and marinated in garlic, chilli and parsley. For dessert, there are a couple of plays on baba, traditional Italian sponge cake and white chocolate mousse with crystallised rose petals.
