The place is surprisingly upscale, given the words ‘cafe’ and ‘bistro’, but prices are quite reasonable. From inside and the terrace (note: diners cannot drink alcohol outside), you look out onto yachts bobbing below, and the decor is classy but simple – rich colours and plenty of handwritten and buzzy specials boards highlighting current deals (including free hair and make-up advice at times). The crowd is mostly adults of all ages, as well as a handful of young children. While the food is decent – the Saturday roasts are particularly fine (and filling) – service can be a little thinly-spread, although they manage to keep smiling regardless. An ideal spot for those after comforting food, and reasonably comfortable surrounds.
25/55 Café Bistro
More a gastro-eatery than a café, this is perfectly positioned for Marina dwellers, or those after a taste of Marina-living
