Barsha Indian fusion restaurant that should stick to the curries
Time Out Says
There is something strangely appealing about ‘fusion’ food – perhaps the idea of a culinary mad scientist splicing together our favourite dishes to create a food so flavoursome that we could never again tolerate regular food. But, for the most part, there is a reason these dishes are not already widely eaten, and it is the reason D’Fusion’s fusion menu fails. The idea of tandoori satay sticks or biryani sushi might have you licking your lips, but in reality, these flavours clash rather than complement. If you needed another reason not to order satay in an Indian restaurant, try this: at D’Fusion, it comes with a bowl of peanut butter. Yes, actual peanut butter. Stick to the restaurant’s delicious spicy curries, fluffy breads and creamy dahls and you’ll not go far wrong. That is, if the food is ever delivered to your table by plodding, somewhat confused serving staff.
