Eat Artisanal Bakery

Freshly baked food that tastes as good as it looks

Time Out Says

Eat is open, spacious, bright and breezy, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a lounge area with sofas and coffee tables.

We snuggle into cosy armchairs and peruse the impressive menu, all the while eyeing up the baked goods on display out of the corner of our eye.

As well as the standard breakfast dishes and sandwich selection that you’d expect, there’s also a list of hearty mains including a vegetable lasagne, Thai green curry and a juicy lamb shank, which is cooked perfectly and served with a generous helping of garlic mashed potato.

Everything is presented beautifully, and the scrambled eggs are creamy and delicious, smothered over a thick slice of artisanal bread with a few accompanying slithers of Portobello mushroom, which we wouldn’t have minded a few more of.

The sandwiches are also spot on; especially the chicken mayo, which is crammed with tasty chicken, and garnished with tomatoes, rocket and cucumber, adding a refreshing and satisfying crunch.

There are a handful of salads on offer if you’re watching the waistline, and an impressive selection of pastries, tarts and cakes if you’re not.

An outdoor seating area means you can enjoy eating in the sunshine, while looking out to the quaint water feature across the way.
