Lounge and cafe serving up a spread of international cuisine
Time Out Says
A futuristic industrial open-plan kitchen with metallic walls, a sports establishment with flat screens, a shisha lounge serving coffee, this cafe has everything covered. The outdoor terrace is conveniently air-conditioned and is a popular choice, as the restaurant inside gets uncomfortably hot, especially during the summer. Emiratis and North Africans come here to drink the array of Turkish, Moroccan and other teas, as well as catch up with friends and play cards. The menu is diverse, but they don’t always get it right. Opt for the Middle Eastern and North African fare above North American or Italian. The spicy chicken saj is particularly good, and although recommended as a starter, is easily enough for a light meal. It gets busy and you’ll have to flag down the staff’s attention if you’re in a rush, but with free WI-FI, you could end up staying for hours.
