Time Out Says

In among the contemporary, pedestrianised City Walk sits a little taste of the Levant. Upon entering new Lebanese restaurant Enab Beirut, you’ll feel right at home in the bright and colourful interior, which we can easily imagine playing host to a family party.

The staff are hugely hospitable and there’s an evident desire to wow everyone who steps inside the restaurant.

You might already be familiar with the county’s cuisine, but let the knowledgeable waiters take charge. The staff’s passion and their understanding of dietary requirements means they’ll come up with the perfect selection for you.

The hummus comes with the option of adding extra olive oil, while the stuffed vine leaves are light, zesty and surprisingly refreshing. Creamy fattat bazenjan (aubergine in spiced yoghurt) perfectly counterbalances the spicy coriander potatoes we try. If you’re a meat-eater, the chicken or beef mixed grill will round off the savoury dishes nicely.

For those who are calorie counting, the hot mezze is all available grilled as well as fried. A nice touch, especially when such a bounty awaits.

A top addition to the busy Lebanese dining scene.

The bottom line
Fun and friendly new Lebanese spot.
