Refined food and relaxed surroundings
Time Out Says
If you’re keen enough not to be put off by the Desert Palm Resort’s somewhat far-flung location your determination will be rewarded. An assuming deli-style dining spot alongside the hotel’s pool, Epicure’s menu offerings trickle fluidly through the continents. Opt for a bowl of hearty Hariri soup and you won’t be disappointed – a tangy red broth surrounds tender chunks of lamb and perfectly cooked lentils, with a sprinkle of cumin and a squeeze of lemon serving to intensify the flavours. In all, Epicure is just... nice. Its appeal lies in its simplicity – both on the menu and in its decor – and in a fusion-frazzled city, that doesn’t sound half bad.
