5 to try: Brilliant meal deals

50 per cent Spectrum Brunch discount for Time Out readers and more great deals

With more than a week before pay day for most Dubai residents it is time for tightening belts and saving fils.

But that doesn’t mean hiding away for the rest of the month. We’ve selected 5 of the hottest meal deals in town at the moment.

From 50 per cent discounts for Time Out readers to new culinary concepts there is plenty here to whet your appetite.

Half price at The Fairmont
The Spectrum on One brunch has been a Dubai favourite for a few years now. At Dhs550 the French Bubbly offer is great for occasions when you want to splash out. But there has always been an opportunity for something between the non-Alcoholic version and this. The Hops and Vines tier costs a more reasonable Dhs395. This package has all the same foodstuffs but different drinks offerings. Best of all, however, is that selected Time Out readers will eat and drink at half the price. 30 seats will be reserved for Time Out readers to enjoy the Hopes and Vines brunch at half price. Quote TIMEOUTHOPS&VINES when making the booking and you will only pay Dhs197.50. This offer is limited to the first 30 diners and will only run for the next four Fridays so book fast to guarantee the discount.

South-East Asian tapas
If there is one thing Time Out loves as much as a great offer it is a good gimmick. So when we heard about the Thaipas offers at Sukothai we were quietly thrilled. Thaipas are, if you couldn’t guess from the puntastic name, a delicious type of Thai tapas. So whether you are new to Thai food or an experienced gobbler you can try a special taster menu. Chef Montri has prepared this special lunch menu for just Dhs99. The offer is only available between 12.30pm and 2.45pm on Friday’s and Saturdays.

Cut-priced breakfast
A Dhs14 breakfast is a wonderful sight to behold. We’ve stumbled across just such a thing on a recent shopping foray into the Oasis Shopping mall. Although it can’t be described as one of Dubai’s megamalls (it doesn’t have a ski slope after all) Oasis Centre does have enough high street names to make this an offer worth seeking out. Served up by the Gourmet Station your Dhs14 will buy you a full English breakfast and a fresh coffee. Don’t expect a Michelin star surprise but at this price it stands out as one of the cheapest breakfasts in town. This offer is only available between 9am and 11am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Oodles of noodles
As much as we love a good foodie gimmick it has to be backed up with some quality food or pricing as well. So the Oodles of Noodles offer at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Dubai Deira Creek has us purring with appreciation. From September 21 until September 30 the Fish Market seafood restaurant is celebrating all things noodle. That means you’ll be able to get noodle soups, egg noodles, small noodles, big noodles, rice noodles and, although we would not recommend it, probably even noodles with ice cream. Our top tip is to try some of the seafood noodles.

Scoff lots of kebabs
Munch on healthy salads, kebab skewers and other Iranian delights poolside at this weekly themed night. All you can eat for Dhs85, or pay for nine people and the 10th guest eats for free.
