Ingredients (makes 24 pieces)
4½ cups sugar
1 pinch salt
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tall can evaporated milk
340g semi-sweet chocolate bits
340g German-sweet chocolate
475ml marshmallow cream
2 cups nuts
1 Boil the sugar, salt, butter, evaporated milk together for six minutes.
2 Place the chocolate bits, chocolate, marshmallow cream and nuts in a bowl. Pour the boiling syrup over the top.
3 Beat until chocolate is melted, then pour in pan. Leave stand a few hours before cutting (remember, it’s better eaten the second day). Store in tin box.
