Dine on a dhow

We’re not suggesting that you set sail to get your sustenance every evening or anything but a meal on board one of Dubai’s many floating restaurants should be experienced at least once during your stay. The famous Bateaux Dubai is your best gastronomic bet as we think the food is of a high restaurant quality. If you’re more worried about the quality of your photos than the food opt for one of the dozens of floating restaurants on the creek. Most are decked out in the style of a traditional dhow and have twinkling fairylights spread liberally across the boat. You’ll set a steady pace along the Creek at night and enjoy some of the better views in the city from your dining table.
Bateaux Dubai, open daily from 8.30pm-11pm. Al Seef Road, opposite the British Embassy, Bur Dubai. (04 399 4994). Read our most recent review of Bateaux Dubai here.
