Stuff yourself at a brunch

Brunch in Dubai is something more than a cheekily timed meal. It is an institution famed around the world as one of the emirate’s most popular activities. All-you-can eat (and often drink) promotions abound at the city’s hotels and many expatriates and tourists alike set aside a good portion of a Friday to consumption. Expect 23 different types of dessert, 17 different types of curry, 32 different salads and more dips and sauces than you can shake a breadstick at. At least one brunch in Dubai (the excellent Al Qasr brunch) now issues a map to all guests on arrival to help them find their way around the epic selection and back to their table in one piece. Brunches are widespread enough for you to be able to find one that suits you. Rowdy, a la carte, sophisticated, beach side or family friendly?
Time Out Dubai’s award winning brunch for 2011 is Traiteur. Friday, 12.30pm-4pm. Park Hyatt Dubai, Deira. (04 317 2222). Find out more about brunch in Dubai here.
