Finish a night on the town with a cheese manakish

Revellers in Dubai are in agreement: there is surely no better snack to soak up the bevy of beverages consumed over a long party evening than a cheese manakish. But where is the best place to find the freshest of this most tasty of glorified cheese-on-toast bites? Our favourites are Al Reef Lebanese Bakery in Za’abeel Street in Karama, the Lebanese bakery capital of Dubai, and the gooey, cheesy offering at Al Hallab across the city. Meat-lovers – if cheese isn’t your thing, head to Moulin D’Or in Karama for the most sublime kofta manakish instead (04 336 9994).
Al Reef Lebanese Bakery, Karama (04 396 1980); Al Hallab, Garhoud (04 282 3388), Mall of the Emirates (04 341 1880), The Dubai Mall (04 330 8828); Moulin D’Or, Karama (04 336 9994).
