From Rhodes Twenty10 to Rivington Grill, explore new promotions and menus to keep you busy over summer.

It’s the beginning of a new month, and with the start of June comes the beginning of summer. Ready for the new season, a selection of new menus, dishes and deals have been launched to keep you entertained over the hotter months.

At Rhodes Twenty10, the steakhouse from Michelin-starred celebrity chef Gary Rhodes, there is a new menu of sharing plates to sample. It features mini frankfurter hotdogs with fried onions and Welsh rarebit, curried potato and onion puffs with mango sour cream dip, as well as strawberry meringue trifle with strawberry sorbet and almond tuile biscuit to finish.

For some fine Cantonese dining this month, head to Hakkasan. The ‘taste of Hakkasan’ June promotion offers an à la carte selection of dishes such as salt and pepper squid and steamed dim sum, with fillings such as chicken lotus root or wagyu beef. Main courses include steamed red snapper with spicy and aromatic yellow bean sauce, and desserts such as coconut crème brûlée with roasted pineapple. Diners can make a three-course selection, including a mixed drink for Dhs275.

Across Asia to Japan; and Japanese food fans can head to Fazaris this summer. The venue will be hosting a Japanese hops and sushi promotion every Wednesday and Thursday until the end of August, serving an all-you-can-eat selection of freshly prepared rolls.

And from Japanese to jazz: music fans can escape the heat in style at The Ivy on Tuesday nights. The evening starts with a happy hour promotion (a bottle of grape or three selected beverages for Dhs99 from 5-7pm). Diners can try a new menu of seasonal summer dishes and there will be live jazz music, performed each week in the lounge bar until late.

If you prefer sports to syncopation, then make your way to the Rivington Grill. Upstairs, the Rivi Bar, in the Souk Madinat Jumeirah branch, will be screening matches from the British Lions tour of Australia (rugby), with a selection of British beverages available. More sports promotions are planed to tie in with Wimbledon (tennis) and The Ashes (cricket) tournaments taking place later in the summer. Live screenings and deals on snacks and drinks will be available. The Rivington Grill also launches ‘the lunch hour’. This two-course weekday lunch deal, available at both branches of the restaurant (Dhs90 Souk al Bahar, Dhs100 Madinat Jumeirah), from noon-5pm, involves a choice of dishes such as chicken liver paté, seared beef and Yorkshire pudding salad, and rhubarb jelly with iced crème fraiche.

As if that wasn’t enough, diners can also sample a summer lunch menu at Legends at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. Try snails with garlic and parsley butter, steak tartare and crème Catalana with blood orange confit.

Until next week, bon appétit!
