Taste of Dubai preview

Huge three-day celebration of food at Media City March 13-15

The city’s longest running annual food fixture needs little introduction, but for those who have never previously visited the event at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, expect a weekend of live cooking demonstrations, retail opportunities, live music, beverages and of course plenty of chances to sample mini dishes from some of Dubai’s most popular restaurants. Taking part this year are Fairmont The Palm’s Breakslow, BiCE, The Ritz-Carlton DIFC’s Café Belge, Souk Al Bahar’s Café Habana, Gaucho, The Act Dubai and many, many more. Over in the chef’s theatre, top culinary talents will be demonstrating how to make their favourite dishes, and those on the bill to attend this year include famed patisserie chef Eric Lanlard and Michelin-starred chef Jean Christophe Novelli.
Dhs70 in advance, Dhs90 on the door; VIP Dhs220 in advance, Dhs240 on the door. Thu 4pm-midnight, Fri noon-midnight, Sat noon-11pm. Dubai Media City, www.tasteofdubaifestival.com.
