Offers an escape from the city at the desert resort. The spacious Al Forsan restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is perfect for families and large groups.

Extras: Entertainment such as a magician, juggler, comedian and acrobats.

Food and drinks: A selection of Arabic, Indian, European and Asian dishes. For starters, guests can enjoy cold mezze, mixed salads and soups. Roast dishes, including oatmeal crusted rib-eye beef with mustard, and a live carving station is also available, in addition to mains such as mixed grills and pastas.

Dress code: Casual.

Family friendly? Yes, with children’s activities such as face painting, bouncy castles, slides, pet zoo and camel and pony riding. There’s also a separate buffet for kids.

Post brunch: Watch the sunset at Al Sarab Rooftop Lounge with drinks and shisha. There’s also a falcon show at 5pm, with horse-back riding and camel safaris also available.

Prices: Dhs300 (with soft drinks), Dhs445 (with house beverages), Dhs195 (children aged five-12).
