A record number of chefs applied to take part in this year’s edition of the Time Out Dubai Young Chef of the Year, which sees four chefs challenged to create a festive four-course meal from a set list of ingredients in front of a live audience. With so many impressive applicants, the judges had their work cut out in deciding which promising young talents to put forward to cook on the night of Tuesday December 16. Presiding over the event will be a panel of experts featuring chief judge Uwe Micheel, president of the Emirates Culinary Guild and director of kitchens at Radisson Hotel Dubai Deira Creek, Michael Clinton, executive chef at Park Hyatt Dubai, Russell Impiazzi, culinary director at Lafayette Gourmet, Silvena Rowe, celebrity chef and founder of Omnia and Time Out Dubai editor Mark Dinning. Seasoned presenter Tom Urquhart will be hosting on the night.
Time Out Dubai’s annual Young Chef of the Year event is an opportunity for readers to become Time Out food critics for an evening. Sit down and enjoy a festive four-course menu cooked by some of the finest young culinary talents in the city. Each attendee will enjoy a meal by one of the finalists, plus taster plates from all four, and all you need to do is eat, drink and judge!
