Sounds good to us. Visit www.mashreq.com/dining for more information.

And just to whet your appetite here are some of the restaurants you can try the promotion at.

The Royal Budha: Stepping inside the dark wooden interior of this Thai restaurant, hidden away in Holiday Inn Al Barsha, is a little like, well, going on holiday. Gold buddhas are illuminated by soft lighting, the serviettes are fanned and the chairs are throne-like, immediately conjuring up fond memories of eating out in Thailand.

Prego’s: It’s quite refreshing to visit an Italian restaurant that isn’t trying to cram every single Italian stereotype into its dining area. Prego’s has opted for a minimalist design, with lots of red and clean lines. It makes for a relaxing setting and the warm service makes you feel welcome. The menu is large, but staff are more than happy to offer detailed suggestions.

Fogueira Lounge: This cosy Brazilian venue is low-key and has a more authentic vibe compared to other traditional rodizio barbecues in the city. It’s also considerably cheaper. The rustic interior features live entertainment and a sneak-peek into the barbecuing kitchen, while the outdoor terrace affords great views of Dubai Marina and wafts with that pleasant chargrilled aroma.

Salero: With equal emphasis on drinking as eating, Salero Tapas & Bodega opened as Dubai’s first standalone tapas bar. The entrance is lined with shelves of Spanish produce and cookbooks, while the dining tables are laid out around a large central bar with counter seating. With Spanish staff, recommendations are particularly good.

Miyako: The Hyatt Regency’s Japanese restaurant is a diminutive yet comfortable space with raised stools round the sushi bar on one end, seating round the teppanyaki tables on the other and standard tables squeezed in between. In light of the limited space, you’ll either enjoy the cosiness of the venue or find you’re seated too close to other diners. The teishoku set menus and bento boxes offer something more unusual, as well as good value for money, but you won’t be disappointed ordering à la carte either, with Miyako serving the full spectrum of authentic Japanese classics (we particularly like the tempura udon).

Peppercrab:
Named after Singapore’s famous black pepper crab, this elegant, easygoing restaurant in the Grand Hyatt specialises in Asian-style seafood. People invariably come for the crustaceans, which can be seen swimming about in the tanks around the open kitchen. Crab, lobster and prawns are ordered by weight and then cooked in a variety of ways, but you shouldn’t leave without trying the black pepper or chilli crab. You’ll be given the option of having the shell removed, but that would take away all the fun of trying to extract the delicious meat.

Tony Roma’s: Tony Roma’s is American fare, served in large portions, swimming in grease, and tries to channel Americana in the Middle East. There are plenty of sharing options and meal deals – you can mix and match between various surf n’ turf options to satisfy your inner glutton quite easily.

Brauhaus: Enjoy the tastes, sights and sounds of traditional German cooking right here in Dubai. Expect massive portions and plenty of fun at this enjoyable meat feast.

Cactus Jack’s: Themed Mexican restaurant with lots of Mexican favourites and an often lively atmosphere in this Garhoud hotel.
