Anise brunch at InterContinental Dubai Festival City review

Anise brunch at InterContinental Dubai Festival City review. Contact details, hours, drinks deals for award-winning brunch, plus nearby restaurants and bars near Dubai Festival City

Set within the InterContinental Festival City, the spacious, high-ceilinged, ultra-modern restaurant is bathed in natural light owing to its floor-to-ceiling windows. Sit outside and you’ll be treated to views of the Creek, though the construction site in the foreground is a little off-putting. The food is set out in the style of a marketplace, with jars of fresh ingredients, olives and preserves dotted around the display. Small portions of desserts and jars of sweets complete the feast for the eyes and your stomach, perfectly rounding off the brunch. Fill up on a smattering of Middle Eastern dishes including lamb tagine. There are also soups, seafood, a standout beef stew and the more unusual offering of blood orange-glazed root vegetables to try. Live cooking stations offer grilled meats, Mexican dishes and more. Expect exotic, fruity mixed beverages, including those made with mango, passion fruit and strawberries, as well as the usual house beverages and soft drinks packages. The quality
of food is outstanding, though the atmosphere is lacking a little – it’s just not busy enough, but a singer performs throughout the afternoon.
Dhs325 (soft drinks), Dhs425 (house beverages). Fri 1pm4pm. InterContinental Dubai Festival City (04 701 1131).
