The news of a brunch starting at our Restaurant of the Year sent a ripple of excitement around the Time Out Dubai office. As well as the promise of great food it's a great deal with packages from Dhs298.
The greeting is great at COYA, the staff really are excellent. Once inside, the options for the brunch are explained impressively.
At first you'll spend some time at the bar, where you’ll have a chance soak up the atmosphere before being seated and having the food options explained.
The food is absolutely stunning. A basket of assorted breads and tortillas arrives at the table with spicy edamame beans and baby squid. Then someone will make you the best guacamole you've ever tasted. A display of ceviches, sushi, salads and tacos looks impressive and tastes even better. From the dozens of options, we recommend the beef tataki, tiraditos and roasted corn salad. Next up there are skewers of tender chicken, beef and chunky mushrooms on a smouldering charcoal grill. It is aromatic, tasty and has a touch of theatre. Mains consist of a choice from six of the restaurants signature dishes. The wonderfully-spiced beef fillet and Chilean sea bass are must-tries. That these are on the main menu shows their quality, and they're given the same love and attention here as they are at any other time. Sides of grilled corn, broccoli and quinoa salad are excellent accompaniments, too.
By dessert you might be full, but the visually stunning platter will tempt with its South American sweet treats.
