For a fun-filled night out, Lock, Stock & Barrel in TECOM’s Grand Millennium hotel is one of our favourite new haunts. In fact, it is our favourite – we gave it the Best New Nightlife Venue award this year. Live music, sports on TV, a good happy hour and a thoroughly
laid-back atmosphere all keep us coming back.
The brunch is an excellent value proposition, especially when compared with some of the standard menu prices. LSB’s Friday deal features four rounds of sharing plates, kicking off with a selection of deep-fried bar favourites. It begins with a collection of onion rings, buffalo wings, calamari et al aboard a sharing platter for a communal start. That is rapidly succeeded by round two, featuring a lengthy, tasty flatbread – half basil-topped margherita, half hot and tangy buffalo chicken. It's our favourite course of the day. Course three comprises of mussels, chilli con carne and chicken, with sides and the whole lot is finished off with cheese cake, brownies, pecan pie and ice cream.
The food isn't subtle and the serving staff can be a little hard to pin down, but it's great value and you will certainly have an enjoyable afternoon.
