Dish of the week: GOSSIP Café & Desserts

Introducing the Cupcake Crush for you to treat your, well, crush

Just what is the quickest way to a man’s or woman’s heart? To be honest, you’ve come to the wrong place if you’re looking for those kinds of answers, but what we do know about is food. And if someone was to present us with either
of these rather smashing desserts, we’d be smitten.

Chocolate is many people’s weakness because it makes them happy. That’s not opinion, that is science fact. It has tryptophan in its makeup, an amino acid that is used to create serotonin, a chemical that improves our mood. So not only does it taste good, chocolate is good for your mental health.

So let us prescribe the Cupcake Crush from GOSSIP Café & Desserts for you and your loved ones this Valentine’s Day. The brand was launched in Sharjah in 2013 by Emirati entrepreneur Dr Shayma Nawaf Fawwaz and now has branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It prides itself on using top-quality ingredients to blend Emirati passion and flavours into American cuisine.

The special Valentine’s desserts are available from Thursday February 9 to Saturday 18 and feature the two bestselling flavours of the cafés couture cupcakes. The Red Velvet version is filled with layers of handcrafted cream cheese mixed with ice cream, then blended with red velvet crumbs. The dark chocolate option is filled with handcrafted white chocolate mixed with brownie pieces, dark chocolate and white chocolate ice cream before getting a final drizzle of caramel sauce.

Cupcake Crush, we love you.
