New menu: Cavalli kitchen

We check out the glitzy new menu at Cavalli Club

Cavalli Club. Ostentatious crystal chandeliers, shimmering lights, an elegant runway, glamorous patrons (and furry walls) all, no doubt, spring to mind. Cavalli Club can claim all of those things. The glitzy nightspot is everything you’d expect from the flamboyant Italian fashion designer.
However, it’s not soley a club. Cavalli is, lest we forget, also a restaurant, and there’s no better time than now to check it out, as the team is going all-out to prove its worth in the kitchen.

October saw the appointment of a brand-new chef, tasked with propelling the venue’s culinary ventures into the spotlight. Chef Francesco Pescatore, who’s previously been in the kitchen of some of Dubai’s top restaurants, such as Zuma, Roberto’s and La Petite Maison, now heads up the team.
Vibrant dishes are well-presented, with offerings including beef tartare with mustard mayo and truffle pearls; black cod with smoked celeriac purée and this lobster salad, where the tender meat is paired with colourful slices of beetoot and greens.

“Cavalli will be celebrating its tenth anniversary next year, so it was about time the menu had a little revamp,” says Italian-born chef Pescatore.

“We’re sticking to Italian cuisine, but adding some surprises. It’s important to keep the prices pocket-friendly, without jeopardising taste and we’ve achieved this with the new menu. I can’t wait for people to try it and see what it’s all about.”
And nor can we.
