Brunch

To non-Dubai residents, the concept of brunch as we know it is a little lost, and to everyone else means poached eggs, avocado, sourdough toast and a glass of bubbly.

In Dubai, it’s a different game entirely. And Brunch as we know it is evolving. Dubaians know and love brunch, and realise the incredible value there is to be had in unlimited food and beverages, and there’s now a new post-brunch event to try.

Dubai’s legendary party venue Rock Bottom Café in Barsha Heights has just launched the RBC Sundowner Drunch, taking place every Friday afternoon at the rooftop pool at the Ramee Rose Hotel in Barsha Heights.

Ideally timed to, as the name suggests, catch sunset with a few drinks, the huge rooftop pool party Sundowner Drunch boasts cracking views out across Dubai, all with the company of a barbecue and unlimited beverages.

While the Sundowner Drunch takes place between 4pm and 8pm on the rooftop, the rest of the night down at Rock Bottom Café has got so much going on, there’s nowhere else you’d want to be. Head down afterwards for a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on selected drinks between 5pm and 10pm (and that’s every night of the week, not just on Fridays) and there’s karaoke from 8.30pm until 11pm, before a live band take to the stage from 11pm onwards.

Because there’s room for a strict 150 guests on the rooftop, you’ve got to book in advance, so call ahead and lay down the Dhs199 it’ll set you back for a pumping pool party with unlimited barbecue grub and beverages.

Through the rest of the week at Rock Botton Café, ladies can take advantage of a ladies’ night offer six nights a week. So, what are your plans this Friday?

Dhs199 per person. Fri 4pm-8pm. Ongoing. Ramee Rose Hotel, Barsha Heights (04 450 0111).
