We love a good Indian restaurant here at Time Out Dubai, and it seems the residents of Palm Jumeirah do too, or at least they’re certainly now well catered for. Arjee Bhajee is one of three Indian restaurants that’s popped up in the area in the past six months (alongside Khyber at DUKES Dubai and Little Miss India at Fairmont The Palm).
Arjee Bhajee, at Building 9-10 Shoreline Residences, promises “traditional flavours and dishes, combined with a British twist”, which should appeal to homesick expats.
Expect European favourites including butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, vindaloo, kormas and biryani, and a huge range of starters including samosas, chaat and more.
We love the look of this chicken tikka, of which you can opt for a whole or half version (coming in at Dhs75 and Dhs45 respectively), served up with tasty chutneys.
The space is kitted out with vibrant décor, and prices won’t break the bank, with starters mostly coming in around the Dhs20 mark, and mains all around Dhs50.
“With a simple, quality menu, laid-back atmosphere and affordable price point, Arjee Bhajee is set to be the go-to British-Indian hotspot,” says Graham Knowles, executive manager of Arjee Bhajee.
The restaurant is also licensed, and is aimed to be reminiscent of those found in the UK.
Palm residents have never been so spoilt for choice when it comes to curries.
Open Sun-Wed 5pm-midnight, Thu-Sat noon-midnight. building 9-10, Shoreline residences, Palm Jumeirah (04 439 3548).
