Jumeirah Al Naseem has become a hotspot for dining out. From freakshakes and monster burgers at Black Tap to fine Italian dining at Il Borro, Californian-style sushi from Katsuya by Stark and the delightful new Flamingo Room by tasha that stunned us with its chic décor and international dishes, there’s a huge selection of eateries in the area.

Rockfish, part of the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel, sometimes falls slightly under the radar – but for no good reason, as the dishes are as exciting as any others.

The restaurant, which specialises in, as the name suggests, fish, also boasts a range of grills from the Josper. So where better to kick off than to combo the two with this brand-new surf and turf dish?

The (sizeable) sharing plate comes in at Dhs580 for two and is part of the recently revamped menu. It boasts seared black Angus chateaubriand paired with grilled lobster, served with a selection of condiments and sauces.

“Rockfish has recently introduced a new menu with the Josper oven playing a vital role,” the Rockfish team tells Time Out Dubai. “The indoor charcoal oven gives a unique grilled-smoky taste, while the high-heat cooking style ensures flavours in the seafood and meat are long-lasting. Our recommendation, aside from this surf and turf, is to try the catch of the day option, which appears on the menu for the first time this month.”

Sounds swell to us.
