We ignore the calories and eye up the burgers at the new Black Tap JBR

Fans of burgers and freakshakes, the news you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived – Black Tap JBR has opened its doors.

The second branch of the super-cool burger joint is now serving hungry diners in JBR from its new home at the Rixos Premium Dubai.

The first Dubai outpost of the New York brand opened at Jumeirah Al Naseem in early 2016 and was a massive hit. And it’s safe to say, we think the new opening will be pretty popular, too.

With a cool vibe, laid-back diner-style décor and fun crowd, Black Tap is known for many reasons, not least its belt-busting burgers (pass us that napkin).

Set up by Michelin-starred chef Joe Isidori, Black Tap both in Dubai and its native New York offers food that’s as tasty as it is Instagrammable.

Famed for those aforementioned burgers and towering, multicoloured milkshakes, the menu at this new Black Tap is the same as the original (split into burgers, salads and sides, with tacos, fish and chips and wings dotted around the edges). And if you love the The Mexico City (pictured) as much as we do, you’re in luck.

Piled up with a jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, chipotle mayo and a massive crispy onion ring, this one is for all die-hard burger fans.

Wash it down with a giant shake and you’re good to go.

What was that about a January diet?
Dhs100. Open Sat-Wed 11am-midnight; Thu-Fri 11am-1am. Rixos Premium Dubai, The Walk, JBR, www.blacktapme.com.
