Veganism might have had a rise in popularity in recent years, but that’s not dulling the appetite for a prime cut of meat here in Dubai. There’s now a brand-new restaurant in town, and judging by its name – Beefbar Dubai – meat-lovers are going to be thrilled.

Owned by former F1 supremo Flavio Briatore, Beefbar Dubai is located in the space that previously held Greg Malouf’s Clé in Al Fattan Currency House in DIFC, and promises “fresh and delicious cuts of meat” in a “fashionable, sophisticated venue”.

It’s a sixth outlet for the chain, which also has homes as far flung as Hong Kong, Mexico and Monaco, where it all started out. Beefbar was set up by Riccardo Giraudi, thanks to, unsurprisingly, his love of meat and the restaurant serves “unpretentious food” for “discerning carnivores”.

And we can expect plenty of top-class meat – from Argentinian steaks to Kobe burgers. We especially like the look of this Carpaccio fi filetto Angus, in other words Black Angus carpaccio. The meaty slices are paired with aged Parmesan, rocket, and truffle, to create a rich and classy dish. There’s even the Beefbar Butcher Shop, should you wish to buy some top cuts of meat to cook at home.

Briatore, who already has Billionaire Mansion at Taj Dubai, is excited about the launch. “I am delighted to open one of the most sought-after restaurants in one of the most incredible cities in the world. It will be a great addition to the region,” he says.

Carnivores, we’ll see you there.
