FERI KASIF TEHROON
A stop-off for late night brain food... literally...
Time Out Says
Approaching this Iranian fast food outlet, it becomes readily apparent that the onus is on the food ahead of the decor. A garish sign on the exterior proudly announces the venue’s 24 hour credentials. Apparently set up to facilitate peckish workers and ravenous revellers making their way back to the marina after a late night, it’s certainly not a romantic dinner destination. The menu has some quirks that differentiate it from the usual run-of-the-mill shawarma stops, with adventurous offerings like brain, liver and tongue sandwiches sitting alongside the ubiquitous kebabs, burgers and pizzas. The food itself is generously portioned and great value. This isn’t reflected in the quality of the ingredients, though, with sandwiches literally dripping with grease and processed meats packed inside. The kebabs are better quality, although they’re still a little fatty. On the plus side, the service is prompt and friendly and if you decide to ditch the diet in favour of a guilty snack, this well-located Iranian could be just the ticket.
