Time Out Says
Whether you’re itching for Indian, chomping at the bit for Chinese or want to reach out for Russian, you can easily map out a culinary journey crammed with international flavour in Jumeirah Lake Towers. But if you don’t fancy roaming from cluster to cluster to feed your appetite, you can make First Clique your first stop. The eatery provides a vast selection of global tastes that even stretches into a separate Chinese menu. Among the burgers, steaks, pizzas and fajitas are some quirky options. We kick off with a creamy chicken soup poured into a bowl made of bread with crunchy cruttons on the side. It is a fun and nourishing opener. The entrecote steak, however, does underwhelm. It’s a fatty cut of meat that lacks punch and is not helped by a rather bland pepper sauce. Dessert, however, saves the day. The chocolate fondant is full of gooey goodness, with the warm sweet offset by the cool, palate-pleasing scoop of ice cream. Not every dish hits the mark, but with so many eats to choose from, we’ll be back for another helping.
