Time Out Says
Once you’re in, and you’ll need to book as it gets busy, you’ll find a restaurant that’s spacious and full of activity. Service is a little rushed, with dishes delivered to your table in record-shattering speed.
That said, there’s some top-notch mezze to be had, which is where the focus of the menu lies.
Get your hands on a hugely satisfying cheese and truffle pie, which is reminiscent of pide/khachapuri – the truffle flavour is powerful, and the ksinomitzithra cheese is flavoursome.
Elsewhere on the menu you’ll find an insanely moreish feta saganaki with crispy honey and pistachio-topped pastry, in addition to a raw bar featuring beautifully fresh oysters. Various salads and a selection of meats and grilled items also feature, as does a lighter, modern take on a classic moussaka.
Finally, one of the must-try elements of the menu is the variety on show with the From The Sea option of fresh fish, cooked in a variety of ways depending on the best catches each day – whether its wood oven-roasted, salt-crusted and baked, or simply raw.
With fantastic food this is an excellent spot, the only thing lacking is the traditional, relaxed Mediterranean pace.
