Time Out Says

You don’t need to spend long in Dubai to know that there’s no shortage of Brit-themed, wood-panelled, tradition-toting ‘pubs’. But before you write Harvester’s off as just another pale imitation of north European pastimes, it’s worth noting that in 2014 it will celebrate its 21st birthday. In Dubai terms, therefore, it’s a veritable dinosaur, which means we should forgive its various misdemeanours, such as an overabundance of sports screens, often patchy live music and quite run-of-the-mill food – much like the average grub in a time-worn pub back in old Blighty. But while the food is far from remarkable, it is hearty, traditional and served in ample enough portions to adequately accompany a few rounds of hops. While eating out accolades may not be waiting down the line, you could do far worse than Harvester’s.
