Persian food in the City Centre shopping mall
Time Out Says
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011Inside the busy mall, this place offers reasonable Persian fare at a reasonable price; though expect to be kept waiting for a while. The no-frills cafeteria-style decor doesn’t offer much atmosphere. Loud busy shoppers walk past the restaurant going about their daily business and, as there is no music inside to drown out the noise; we’d recommend opting for a table deep into the restaurant. The place is also a tad grubby around the edges but, on the plus side, kids could easily make a mess here without upsetting any guests or staff.
Food options, however, are reasonably priced and extensive. Including traditional dishes such as lamb stew, quail kebabs and tangy chicken with barberry rice and some wacky options thrown in their for good measure such as the camp rainbow-coloured fruit cocktail which comes in different layers of strawberry, mango, guava, avocado, banana mixed with milk and sugar must be tried. All orders come with bread to start and a delicious platter of olives, walnuts, feta cheese, mint, basil and other green herbs to season your food.
