Time Out Says

Japan meets Thailand, with a bit of burrata thrown in for good measure at this International restaurant that just about justifies its Japanese placing here. That placing is secured courtesy of the extensive sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and more Japanese staples that outweigh by some distance the occasional incongruous pasta dish or fish and chips. (Yes, fish and chips.) Set down by the water out the back of the Madinat, it’s a great location and a perfectly decent pit-stop on your way for drinks at a Perry & Blackwelders or a Trader Vic’s. It is also relatively affordable given the quality setting, with most dishes averaging out around Dhs50. Ultimately, though, is that this is far more take a mate than a date – a fun and lively venue with good but not great grub and a menu of such mixed and matched gastronomic ingredients, it would give Heston Blumenthal a headache.
