Time Out Says
THE VEGETARIAN VIEW
We don’t like the term hidden gem here at Time Out Dubai but JOMO really is hidden and it’s a total sparkler.
If you look online you’d be hard pressed to find any information at all about the physical location of this restaurant (although it does deliver) but it actually shares a kitchen with Asian5 in Downtown Dubai. The menu in the restaurant is a lot smaller than online, but you’ll be happy with what you get.
The no FOMO, a classic burger consisting of Moving Mountains patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sauce or The LOVE STACK, a bunless burger mixed with fries, tots, cheese and sauces.
The Moving Mountain patty isn’t as widely known as the Beyond or Impossible but we predict it will soon be a staple in all non-meat eaters diet. The FOMO is hands down the best vegan burger we’ve ever had. It’s chargrilled, the cheese is gooey, the lettuce and tomatoes are fresh and the bun is crispy on the outside yet soft in the middle.
It’s utterly superb.
The sides are just as good too, onion rings and potato 3 ways are the perfect accompaniment and we can’t get enough of these plant-based offerings.
The dairy-free milkshakes are also excellent, we go for the chocolate and it’s thick, creamy and the perfect way to finish off a cracking vegan meal.
With a second branch of JOMO opening this year in JLT this could well become your new favourite burger joint.
