Time Out Says

Jumeirah Beach Road is a haven of boutique cafés, and this tiny eatery is just one worth stopping in at. Meaning “same same” in Moroccan slang, Kif Kif serves up mezze and mini tagines, as well as sandwiches, grills, teas and juices, all from a tiny café with quaint, colourful wooden furnishings set across a patio facing the main road. While the service vacillates between unhelpful and entirely absent, the food is largely very good. An order of the mezze salad (a sharing selection for two-to-four people) is a smart way to start, and features a hot cold medley of chakchouka, aubergine zaalouk, tangy taktouka, Moroccan salad, olives chermoula and harissa. Move on (if you can find the stomach space) to a mini tagine de merguez, featuring spicy sausages with onion, peppers and green olives. It’s hard not to leave here with your buttons bursting, but a cup of Moroccan mint tea is the perfect digestive.
