Lamesa- Asiana Hotel

Time Out Says

Lamesa is the Asiana’s ‘international’ restaurant, but with a Filipino slant (there’s even a Filipino band). Dishes such as beef kare-kare are served, though this is only recommended for anyone with a taste for slippery, gristly oxtail. There’s also a stand serving sizzling sisig and crispy pata – the former consisting of finely diced pieces of pork (namely the head and liver), while the latter is effectively crispy chunks of crackling accompanied by fleshy pieces of pork. You could argue that these two dishes are an acquired taste, but you could also argue that they’re just not very well done at Lamesa.

Other dishes include sweet and sour prawns, sushi and pasta (which have somehow managed to sneak onto the menu), though these are average at best. Ultimately, the food isn’t Lamesa’s strong point; its quirky character is. Go for the music and the drinks deals, but don’t go hungry.
