Little Bangkok - Urban Thai Cuisine

Time Out Says
Little Bangkok is a competent but uninspiring mid-range Thai restaurant in the middle of an office block. Stationed in the middle of the two Business Central Towers, it attracts exactly the crowd you’d expect. A popular lunch spot with the white collar folk, it’s far busier at 1pm than 8pm – after hours, when we visited, it was mainly late leavers dining solo before slipping off home, overworked and under wrought. In short, this is a place where convenience trumps a genuine desire to dine. But it remains popular because it’s not doing anything wrong – smartly decorated and with piped ambient Oriental beats, it’s clear someone had hoped this place would be something more. The handy, plastic models of popular dishes in the window suggest they failed. More entertaining than the unremarkable, identikit food on offer is the front page of the menu, which offers a group shot of the kitchen staff – complete with individual titles such as “dim sum master” – standing intently cross-armed, like the cast of The Expendables.
