Indian restaurant in DIFC
Time Out Says
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011Situated in DIFC, the financial crowd on their lunch break are the obvious target audience, but for some reason the setting is more like a nightclub, with dark walls and low lights. The food is curry 101 – simple and suitable for people who just want the very basic and aren’t looking to be wowed. It’s Westernised Indian cooking presented as fast food. The butter chicken, the korma and the jalfrezi all do their job with the minimum of fuss, while the samosas and naans provided suitable accompaniment, even if the latter was a little too soggy. Desserts were the standard ice creams and kulfi that again, felt serviceable rather than sensational but this was never going to be anywhere where you'd look to be impressed, merely just fed. Functional and sure-footed, but there are many superior places for cheap Indian food and it’s hard to see how this would appeal beyond the captive DIFC workers.
