Time Out Says

The Media City branch, located at the foot of the Chrysler Building-esque Business Central Towers, is more of a lunchtime spot than somewhere you’d go for dinner. With no windows to the outside, it’s a fairly dark space, not helped by the black exposed ceiling, yet for a casual eatery it’s a comfortable enough space. Miyabi’s menu is large, covering everything from salads and light bites such as yakitori skewers and tempura, to simple one- or two-ingredient makis, temaki cones, sashimi and ‘special’ rolls, plus a selection of ramen, fried noodles, donburi rice bowls, shabu shabu hotpots and even a modest Korean offering. Is there a sense that they’ve spread themselves too thin? Most definitely, because there’s nothing here that rises above adequacy – even at these relatively affordable prices you’d expect better. And while staff are friendly and well-meaning, service, too, could do with being tightened up a bit.
