Time Out Says
Once you navigate through the grandeur of the impressive Al Qasr hotel, MJ’s Steakhouse feels far more casual. The red and black New York-themed decor is inviting, and the open kitchen adds to the atmosphere. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the staff as well, who are also knowledgeable when it comes to the restaurant’s main draw – steaks. The choice is concise, with the main selection a range of 250g and 300g Angus and wagyu cuts. But if you’re feeling really hungry, then you can attempt to devour a terrifying 1kg Angus Porterhouse. You won’t be disappointed with the steaks, which are good quality and cooked well, although the limited choice of sides is a slight let-down. Desserts, though, are worth saving space for, especially the sinfully indulgent chocolate soufflé, which is big and rich enough to share.
