Time Out Says
While Myocum, an Aussie coffee shop and casual eatery, can’t claim to be the first of its kind in the city, it is worthy of checking out.
There’s a dedication to serving good coffee here, such is the Australian way, but the menu, filled with interesting breakfast dishes, salad bowls, sandwiches and bigger main courses has influences from all over the globe.
The Thai benedict is a winner (also breakfast is served until 3pm here, we approve). The hollandaise takes on a green curry flavour and the poached eggs sit on top of a papaya salad, as well as avocado and sourdough. Add tempura asparagus and crispy basil and you’ve got a winner.
Other highlights are the Bay Beef Burger, with a tasty homemade patty sandwiched between a Portuguese bun stuffed with fresh salad, pickles, chilli butter, aioli and cheese sauce. The mound of sweet potato fries it comes with is mighty impressive, too.
It’s all made in-house everything we’ve had tastes great, which is why we totally recommend it.
