Time Out Says
You could almost be in the Mediterranean at this chic eatery from celebrity chef Silvena Rowe at Jumeirah Golf Estates.Rowe, of Bulgarian origin, has been living in Dubai for many years and is well-versed in Middle Eastern flavours having owned multiple restaurants across the city. She’s also well-known across the city for her fresh approach to dining, so expect some treats here.
Mediterranean cuisine can cover a lot of coast, spanning the south of Europe and the Levant, which is reflected in the menu at her latest venture, Nassau.
The lusty space is contemporary yet luxurious and the food is just as stylish offering an elegant take on the familiar.
The creamy labneh speckled with black truffle is without a doubt, a standout dish. A playful twist on a Levantine staple, you could easily eat this black truffle scented labneh on its own by the spoonful (it’s that good) but the accompanying seasonal baby vegetables pair perfectly.Other highlights include the wagyu rib-eye which is gloriously tender and the “shawarma-style” grilled king prawns with green harissa are deliciously moreish.
If you’re one for Instagramming your food before digging in, it’s worth noting all the dishes come beautifully presented. With the lush green views and light breezy interiors, it's a beautiful spot.
