World’s first changing restaurant launches in Dubai

Enigma at the new Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai Creek, will change it concept and chef every three months

As a city that’s ever-evolving, we’re used to seeing one place close and another open in its place in Dubai.

So this new idea seems like the perfect addition for an emirate always looking to go bigger and better than the rest.

Launching on January 10, Enigma at the new Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai Creek, will change its concept and chef every three months.

Starting things off at the venue is 3 Michelin starred chef; Quique Dacosta, described as “one of the world’s most radical avant-garde chefs”.

His concept, Vanguard, will only be taking sittings for 53 days before it vanishes forever.

“It is incredible to bring my cuisine to other parts of the world. I'm thrilled to make my mark in Dubai under Palazzo Versace and I hope that diners enjoy Enigma and my culinary selection, which has deep Mediterranean roots and avant-garde influences, as much as I will enjoy the experience,” he said.

His stint will end April 12 before another top Michelin chef takes over, and advance bookings are being taken from now according to the website.

Nicknamed ‘The Untold Story’, Enigma’s menu details remain unknown until the opening. Dinner will be served six days a week from 6.30pm-10.30pm and grape-based beverages will be carefully selected and paired with each course by the sommelier on request.

Dinner prices (excluding beverages) will be available on the website.
