With so many prestigious restaurants in Dubai, most of us have a bucketlist of places we’d like to dine at in the city.
So the upcoming Dubai Restaurant Week seems like the perfect opportunity to experience a few trendy outlets without the heavy price tag.
Leading the way when the 10 days of eating out debuts on February 25, is Gordon Ramsay – who launched his Bread Street Kitchen at Atlantis The Palm in October.
The celebrity chef is part of a line-up including Atul Kochhar (Rang Mahal), Heinz Beck (Social), Vineet Bhatia (Ashiana) and Alfredo Russo (Vivaldi).
Each one of 30 places offering a bespoke three-course set menu for only Dhs189, others taking part include Café Belge, Alta Badia, JW’s Steakhouse, Atelier M, Mint Leaf of London, Boca, Okku, Fogueira, Pai Thai, Fume, Qbara, Garden, Rivington Grill, Hoi An, The Croft, Junoon, The Hide, Kiku, The Ivy, Positano, Seven Sands, Zheng He’s, Sea Fu, Thiptara, and Yuan.
The event - in partnership with RoundMenu and part of Dubai Food Festival - is expected to sell out, as restaurants come up with special menus for the occasion.
Highlights include Hawaiian tuna tartar with avocado and truffle juice at Atelier M; Sea bass crudo with charred avocado, amori black garlic and corn chips at Sea Fu; Home smoked salmon tikka at Ashiana by Vineet; hot smoked Norwegian salmon, teriyaki sauce & pickled cucumber at Fumé and Quail two ways with braised lentils and seasonal wild mushrooms at The Ivy.
